A venture capital audience convenes to learn more about regulatory hurdles from Gretchen Bowker
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—Venture capital for the life science sector in the Mid-America region is scarcer than on either coast; however, the region has preeminent research institutions, an established base of drug and device companies, and a strong and growing start up community . To support their mission and promote investment in the region’s life science industry, the Mid-America Healthcare Investors Network (MHIN) will hold a conference June 26-27 in Chicago at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, IL. The event will feature a panel of regulatory experts including Gretchen Bowker, Director of Regulatory and Quality Compliance for Safis Solutions, LLC. Bowker will highlight recent events at the FDA and discuss how these events may impactinvestment strategies. .
The Mid-America Healthcare Investors Network (MHIN) is an association of more than 48 venture capital firms across 14 states, with over $2 billion under management. Gretchen Bowker, M.S., RAC, has over 20 years of experience in life sciences product development in both start up and large pharmaceutical and device companies. Bowker has negotiated approvals of investigational applications, US Market Approvals and European Market Approvals. Due to her extensive industry knowledge, Bowker frequently speaks in regulatory and compliance training courses for international organizations such as ISPE and RAPS regarding regulatory and compliance requirements.
