Indianapolis Mayor Gregory A. Ballard appoints Safis Solutions CEO Ping Poulsen to the Equal Opportunity Advisory Board

June 17, 2009, Indianapolis, IND: Ping Poulsen, CEO of Safis Solutions, has officially accepted Mayor Greg Ballard's appointment to the Equal Opportunity Advisory Board of Indianapolis and was sworn into the office upon the appointment. Ping will serve a three year term beginning July 1, 2009 and is looking forward to the opportunity to directly contribute to and help ensure equal employment opportunities. Ping comments that when she speaks at various conferences, she is frequently asked about her journey as an Asian woman business leader in the life sciences industry. She tells them that "as long as you pursue excellence and trying your best to add value, people can quickly go beyond my race and gender and start active business engagement with trust and confidence."

This twelve member board oversees the Office of Equal Opportunity and the Office of Minority Women Business Development. It meets bimonthly and encourages public participation at these meetings.
